B2 Description:

channel type

  1. Riffle/pool sequences with infrequent pools on a moderately entrenched and sloping channel
  2. Rather stable plan, profile, and banks

  • Entrenchment: Moderately entrenched, 1.4 - 2.2
  • Water Surface Slope/Gradient: 2-4%
  • Dominant Substrate Particle Size: Predominantly boulders
  • Width/Depth Ratio: > 12
  • Sinuosity: > 1.2
